Akshay Kumar’s Joker was a science fiction comedy film which was released in theaters in 2012. In this film, Sonakshi Sinha, Shreyas Talpade, Manisha Lamba, Sanjay Mishra and Vindu Dara Singh were seen playing important roles along with Akshay. Joker was directed by Shirish Kunder. This film was made with a budget of 47 crores and could collect only 22.5 crores. Joker had the worst ratings.

Akshay did not promote
Akshay Kumar was not seen anywhere in the promotion of Joker. If reports are to be believed, Akshay had asked Shirish to make some changes in the film. Also he wanted his second film to be released before OMG Joker. Akshay had also requested to postpone the film but Shirish did not accept both his requests, after which Akshay refused to promote the film even though Akshay was also the co-producer of the film.

Shahrukh promoted the film
If Akshay Kumar refused to promote the film Shahrukh Khan Farah Khan and Shirish came forward to help Kunder. He had promoted Joker. Shahrukh had promoted the film by holding a press conference at his home.
